tvn NoticiasPanamá será sede del decimocuarto Congreso de la Asociación de Academias de la Lengua Española, lo que colocará ese país en el centro de atención de 450 millones de hablantes en español. Para el Secretario General de la Asociación de Academias, Humberto López Morales, el congreso reunirá a los mejores escritores y estudiosos del español, quienes contribuirán a la actualización del idioma y a su universalización.En tanto, la Presidenta de la Academia Panameña de la Lengua, Berna Pérez Ayala de Burrel, sostuvo que la actividad le permite al idioma español crecer, sobre todo a Panamá que se nutre de la concurrencia de estos expertos.La Academia Panameña de la Lengua, fundada en agosto de 1926, aceptó el reto junto a las autoridades panameñas de organizar este congreso, que constituye el suceso más importante de las academias para estudio y protección del idioma.
