Investigadores de dos universidades israelíes han creado un modelo de inteligencia artificial que puede traducir antiguos textos acadios.

Desarrollaron un modelo de inteligencia artificial (IA) capaz de traducir la antigua escritura acadia al inglés de manera precisa y confiable, cita una nota de medium.com.

Y agrega que este hito en la decodificación de lenguajes aún ininteligibles ha despertado gran interés en la comunidad científica y en los estudiosos de culturas antiguas.

El equipo de científicos, basándose en el procesamiento del lenguaje natural y el aprendizaje profundo, creó una IA que utiliza redes neuronales convolucionales (CNNs).

Según los investigadores, esta tecnología tiene el potencial de abrir nuevas puertas para el estudio de las antiguas culturas.

La traducción de escrituras antiguas puede proporcionar información valiosa sobre las costumbres, creencias y tradiciones de los pueblos del pasado.

Además, su disponibilidad en la plataforma GitHub permite que sea accesible para historiadores, arqueólogos y otros investigadores interesados en el tema.
