Europa PressEl presidente del Gobierno de las Islas Canarias, Paulino Rivero, comentó este miércoles que el Ejecutivo va a insistir en la enseñanza de un segundo idioma para fortalecer el bilingüismo entre los estudiantes canarias en los próximos años.En su discurso del 'Debate sobre el Estado de la Nacionalidad', Rivero hizo una radiografía sobre el estado de la educación en Canarias destacando, por ejemplo, el aumento de la matriculación en Formación Profesional y el descenso del abandono escolar temprano.Además, ha destacado el aumento de la plantilla de profesores y que las tasas de titulados en ESO o FP se han acercado a la media del Estado, mientras que en el plano de las infraestructuras, valoró la colaboración público-privada con una inversión de 130 millones para la construcción de centros educativos.
