La ciudad de Cádiz presentará mañana viernes 3 su candidatura para acoger el X Congreso Internacional de la Lengua Española en la 35 Feria Internacional del Libro (FIL) de Guadalajara (México), según ha informado hoy el ayuntamiento de la capital gaditana.

“No podíamos contar con mejor puesta en escena para presentar nuestra candidatura a este lado del Atlántico, junto a nuestras tierras hermanas de Latinoamérica y en un evento literario de esta magnitud", subraya el alcalde de la ciudad española, José María González, en unas declaraciones que recoge la nota de prensa del Ayuntamiento.

El acto de presentación de la candidatura se desarrollará en FIL Guadalajara, que está dedicada este año a Perú, país que es el anfitrión del IX Congreso Internacional de la Lengua, que se celebrará en Arequipa.

El siguiente Congreso, que aspira a acoger Cádiz, se celebrará en 2025. EFE
