Campus de Puerto Real de la Universidad de Cádiz

Los rectores de las universidades públicas andaluzas firmaron un manifiesto de adhesión y apoyo institucional a la propuesta del Ayuntamiento y de la Asociación de la Prensa de Cádiz para acoger el Congreso Internacional de la Lengua Española 2025.

 

Este documento de apoyo del sistema universitario público andaluz, integrado por una comunidad universitaria superior a las 350 000 personas entre profesorado, alumnado y personal de administración y servicios, fue promovido por el rector de la UCA, Francisco Piniella.

El manifiesto, firmado por los diez rectores de las universidades públicas andaluzas, expone que “la ciudad de Cádiz, acogedora y comprometida con las realidades que la rodean, y especialmente con la labor de investigación, reflexión, debate y difusión que realizan las Universidades, tiene motivos suficientes que la avalan en este proyecto”.

“Su indiscutible vocación iberoamericana, la creatividad del carnaval y del flamenco, su pasado constitucionalista y su relación directa con el nacimiento de la prensa moderna y la opinión pública la hacen merecedora de ser la sede de este encuentro internacional de estudio, debate, análisis e investigación sobre el español”, añade el manifiesto de los rectores.
