El periodista y escritor Alcibíades González Delvalle fue investido como miembro de número de la Academia Paraguaya de la Lengua Española en reconocimiento a una larga carrera que también abarca el periodismo de investigación y el género dramático.

González Delvalle, quien en 2013 fue galardonado con el Premio Nacional de Literatura, disertó durante el acto sobre las relaciones entre el periodismo y la literatura, sus dos grandes vocaciones.

“Un viento negro”, la novela que le dio el máximo galardón literario de Paraguay, narra la brutal represión ejercida contra estudiantes y campesinos por la dictadura de Alfredo Stroessner (1959-1989).

El nuevo miembro de la Academia es un referente del periodismo paraguayo, con una trayectoria que se remonta a la década de los cincuenta del siglo pasado en diarios ya desaparecidos, como El País o La Tarde.

En 1967 se incorporó al rotativo Abc Color, fundado ese año, donde actualmente escribe columnas y temas de investigación.
