Radio Bio-BioEl V Congreso Internacional de la Lengua Española, el mayor evento de las letras y la cultura panhispánicas, se realizará el año 2010, bajo el lema “América en la Lengua Española”.La iniciativa se desarrollará en la Universidad Técnica ‘Federico Santa María’, Valparaíso, entre el 2 y el 5 de marzo, el año en que Chile celebra su Bicentenario, organizado por el Consejo Nacional de la Cultura y las Artes, para el cual ya abrió sus inscripciones a través de la página web www.congresodelalengua.clEl torneo será inaugurado por el rey Juan Carlos de Borbón y por la presidenta chilena, Michelle Bachelet, y reunirá a los más importantes exponentes de la literatura y la lingüística, además de los principales académicos, empresarios y autoridades promotores de la lengua española.La responsabilidad de la preparación del V Congreso corresponde al Gobierno de Chile, como país anfitrión, en convenio de colaboración con el Instituto Cervantes, que desempeña la Secretaría General, y con la Real Academia Española y la Asociación de Academias de la Lengua Española, que proponen el diseño del programa académico.
