    Sí. En Síguele la corriente al chico, tal vez no esté tan equivocado, al chico es el complemento indirecto, duplicado por el pronombre átono le; la corriente es el c. directo.

    Respecto a la «Píldora gramatical» del 3 de marzo (alabra del día inocular) sobre la construcción «siguiendo a las aves», me gustaría alguna aclaración más ya que la construcción «siguiendo las normas» parece ser correcta y no lleva la preposición. Por otro lado, la propia RAE en la entrada «seguir» incluye en la acepción 10ª (señalada como transitiva) el ejemplo «seguir una fiera».

    La preposición a es de uso forzoso ante nombres de cosa, cuando son complemento directo de verbos que significan orden lineal o jerárquico, como preceder o seguir. Seguir  se considera un verbo de transitividad atípica por este motivo. Fuente: Diccionario panhispánico de dudas, Gramática descriptiva del español de I. Bosque.
