    Seguramente. La u después de la q es una tradición del latín que se ha mantenido a lo largo de los siglos.

    Las secuencias que y qui siguen siendo las formas legítimas de reproducir en la escritura los sonidos [ke] y [ki] respectivamente. En el lenguaje de los mensajes de texto y en la comunicación vía Internet se ven cada vez más esas secuencias sustituidas por *ke y *ki, pero no por ello dejan de ser errores ortográficos.
