    Quisiera saber si la expresión: "Yo no determino a Juan" está bien dicho. Ejemplo, están hablando de una persona y para referirse a que no lo toman en cuenta, dicen: Yo no lo determino. ¿Es correcto decir esto?

    En el español general, no existe ninguna connotación del verbo determinar que signifique ‘no tomar en cuenta a alguien’. Sin embargo, en el Diccionario de americanismos se registra para este verbo la acepción de ‘prestar atención de forma patente a una persona’, y se indica que es propia de Honduras, Panamá y Colombia. Es decir que estos países la frase Yo no determino a Juan equivaldría a decir Yo no le presto atención de forma patente a Juan.
