Estoy revisando una tesis de arquitectura en la que se trata el tema de un grupo social y su identidad, he leído una y otra vez la palabra identitario y todavía no estoy segura de querer aceptarla. Aun cuando parece ser aceptada por muchos, no tengo certeza de que se deba emplear. Algunos ejemplos del uso que se está dando en la mencionada tesis:Conceptos para el desarrollo identitario, representaciones identitarias Sería una gran ayuda el que me pueden ayudar a saber si en realidad es válido, y/o si es mejor utilizar sinónimos, y cuáles.Gracias.

Respuesta: 

En el corpus del siglo XXI de la RAE y academias asociadas constan más de 600 casos de identitario, su femenino y plurales. Es decir, el uso actual parece haber consagrado el término. Es corriente en sociología y en sociolingüística. Significa 'relativo a la identidad' entendida como 'conjunto de elementos que caracterizan a los miembros de un grupo y definen la pertenencia de las personas a dicho grupo'.
