Quisiera saber si las siguientes frases están bien formuladas o no y por qué: - Vestirlo con un traje / Lo vistieron con un traje. - Tranquilizarle con unas pastillas. ¿Y en caso de que fuera ella sería ‘la’ en vez de ‘le’? - Mientras lo ayudaba a empujar la canoa. ¿Y en caso de que fuera ella sería ‘la’ en vez de ‘lo’? -Quieren lavarlo para adecentarlo.

Respuesta: 

Vestirlo con un traje y lo vistieron con un traje son construcciones adecuadas porque el pronombre átono lo reemplaza al complemento directo  masculino, singular.  Tranquilizarle con unas pastillas es adecuado solo en zonas leístas y cuando el referente es una persona de sexo masculino;  en zonas no leístas el pronombre canónico es lo; si el referente es femenino, corresponde tranquilizarla.
Quieren lavarlo para adecentarlo es una construcción adecuada cuando el complemento directo de lavar y de adecentar es masculino, singular.
