Deseo saber por qué al españolizar la palabra del inglés «piercing» se debe escribir «pirsin» con 's'.

Respuesta: 
Puede emplear el término original escrito en cursiva: piercing.
Pirsin es la interpretación gráfica adoptada por los académicos de acuerdo con la fonética peninsular de la palabra, según la forma en que se pronuncia en inglés británico (en inglés de EE. UU. se pronuncia /prisin/).
