¿Por qué en España la palabra parece que se separa en At-lán-ti-co y en América es A-tlán-ti-co? ¿Cuál es la forma correcta y por qué?

Respuesta: 

La diferencia en la separación silábica se debe a razones fonéticas. Existen dos formas correctas de silabear las palabras que contienen la combinación consonántica tl, las cuales reproducen las dos formas diferentes de articulación: una en la que las consonantes -t- y -l- forman parte de sílabas diferentes (uso en España peninsular y en Puerto Rico), y otra en la que forman parte de la misma sílaba (uso mayoritario en América, especialmente en México y en los territorios donde se emplean con cierta frecuencia voces de origen náhuatl, en las que este grupo es inseparable): at-las / a-tlas; At-lán-ti-co / A-tlán-ti-co; at-lé-ti-co / a-tlé-ti-co.
