He visto textos en los que aparece la palabra completación, sin embargo, no está en el DRAE. ¿Existe alguna palabra que denote 'acción y efecto de completar' a similitud de otros términos que terminan en -ción?

Respuesta: 

Para denotar 'acción y efecto de completar', se usan compleción (registrada en el DRAE), completamiento y completación. Todas aparecen documentadas en el Corpus de Referencia del Español Actual (RAE), aunque no es frecuente el empleo de ninguna de ellas.
