Consulta: 

Es bastante común entre venezolanos utilizar el adjetivo aclaratoria cuando realmente quieren referirse al sustantivo aclaración. Desde mi punto de vista es una impropiedad. La pregunta es: ¿pueden emplearse ambas palabras indistintamente como sustantivo?, es decir, ¿son equivalentes y usar una u otra es solo cuestión de preferencia o estilo?

Respuesta: 

Aunque aclaratoria no aparezca como sustantivo en los diccionarios generales de la lengua, es de uso habitual en varios países americanos con el sentido de ‘aclaración de algo’. El Diccionario de americanismos registra el sustantivo como propio de Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Chile, Bolivia, Argentina. Es, pues, sin duda, adecuado en dichas regiones, y, como usted señala, su empleo es una cuestión de preferencia o estilo.
