La expresión a la par como sinónimo de al lado me parece incorrecta, como en el siguiente ejemplo: Aquí pongo el vaso y a la par te dejo la bandeja. ¿Estoy en lo cierto?

Respuesta: 

«A la par» significa 'juntamente', 'al mismo tiempo', por tanto, es gramaticalmente correcto.
