¿Cómo se abrevian correctamente los centímetros? Por ejemplo: 8 cm u 8cms.

Respuesta: 

Las unidades de medida (peso, longitud, capacidad, tiempo...) se expresan mediante símbolos. Estos son representaciones gráficas únicas e invariables de algunos términos. Al ser invariables, la misma grafía vale tanto para el singular como para el plural. Los símbolos no llevan punto de cierre (a menos que constituyan el último término de una oración), a diferencia de las abreviaturas. Ejemplos: 8 cm, 10 kg, 1000 g, 15:00 h, 35 min, etcétera.
