Palabra sobre la que consulta:

Consulta: 

Me han preguntado si la palabra pies (plural de pie) lleva tilde dado que la consideran bisílaba por lo tanto sería aguda terminada en s. Yo la considero monosílaba. ¿Cuál es la forma correcta?

Respuesta: 

Tanto el singular como el plural son monosílabos, ya que ie constituye un diptongo.
