¿Por qué el nombre Lourdes no se acentúa si contiene un hiato con una vocal cerrada tónica?

Respuesta: 

El nombre es de origen francés y no lleva tilde en esa lengua.En castellano, según la zona, se articula de dos maneras diferentes: [loúrdes] y [lurdes], pero no se ha castellanizado como Loúrdes, sino como Lurdes, aunque se usa mayoritariamente la grafía original Lourdes.
