¿Ayudarlo o ayudarle?
Consulta: 

Les he remitido una consulta hace unos minutos y he observado el texto que incluyen en su página (debajo de esta caja del formulario): «Escriba aquí su pregunta aportando la mayor cantidad de información posible para que podamos ayudarlo adecuadamente». ¿Ese 'ayudarlo' no es un loísmo? ¿No debería poner 'ayudarle', al referirse a un complemento indirecto?

Respuesta: 

Si ayudar significa 'ofrecer ayuda a alguien', se ha generalizado su uso como transitivo en gran parte del mundo hispanohablante. Además del complemento directo de persona, suele llevar un complemento con a si lo que sigue es un infinitivo o conen o a si lo que sigue es un sustantivo....podamos ayudar al niño a estudiar > podamos ayudarlo....podamos ayudar al niño en sus tareas > podamos ayudarlo....podamos ayudar a la mujer en su maternidad > podamos ayudarla....podamos ayudar a la lideresa a cumplir el objetivo > podamos ayudarla.Es decir, el complemento de persona es directo.No obstante, en ciertas zonas se conserva su uso como intransitivo, tal como se usaba en latín:El maestro le ayuda (a la niña/al niño) a escribir.
