Uds. dicen que la normativa indica que debe escribirse «2 de febrero de 2012», o sea, «dos de febrero de dos mil doce», ¿no sería mejor «2 de febrero del 2012», es decir, «dos de febrero del dos mil doce»? Para mí personalmente el de solo se aplicaba al siglo anterior al decir por ejemplo «2 de febrero de 1994».

Respuesta: 

Desde la Edad Media, se prefiere el uso sin artículo (2 de febrero de 1325) y se recomienda mantener este uso en la datación de cartas y documentos del año 2000 y sucesivos (2 de febrero de 2012). Esta recomendación no implica que se considere incorrecto, en estos casos, el uso del artículo (2 de febrero del 2012), según indica la normativa vigente (OLE10).
