Me gustaría saber si es correcta esta frase, al decir «asombra», teniendo en cuenta que el narrador está en primera persona y en presente.–Entonces, Izz, ¿tú también eres virgen? –A veces me asombra lo inocente que era.

Respuesta: 

El presente del indicativo de asombrarse para la primera persona singular es me asombra.Es, entonces, correcto. El error, en cambio, está en el tiempo verbal del verbo ser. Corresponde: Me asombra lo inocente que es o Me asombraba lo inocente que era.
