En Guatemala el uso de la expresión«venir a traer» es muy común para decir que unapersona (primera) va a llegar a donde otra (segunda),para llevar a la segunda, o a algún objeto queesta en posesión del segundo, a otro lugar.Ejemplos: 1) ¿Quién nos va a venir a traer para ir a la fiesta?2) Mamá, me puedes ir a traer a la casa de mi amiga después de la fiesta.3) ¿Quién me va a venir a traer después de clases?4) Alfonso va a venir a traer las sillas para llevarlas a la oficina.¿Es equivocado el uso de ésta expresión común en mi país?

Respuesta: 

De acuerdo con sus explicaciones, el significado que se le da a traer en la expresión «venir a traer» no corresponde al uso general del verbo traer, sino al de buscar o recoger:¿Quién nos va a venir a buscar/recoger para ir a la fiesta?Mamá, me puedes ir a buscar/recoger a la casa de mi amiga después de la fiesta.etc.Si el uso está generalizado en Guatemala y es entendido por todos los hablantes, será apropiado en su país, pero es inadecuado en otras zonas hispanohablantes.
