Deseo dirigirme a una persona que ya no está en vida. ¿Debo decir: «Desconozco si Robert Monroe hubo hecho el doctorado en Ingeniería en Sonido» o «desconozco si RM habrá hecho...»?

Respuesta: 

Pueden emplearse los tiempos de indicativo pretérito perfecto simple (hizo) o pluscuamperfecto (había hecho). Este último, si del texto en el que esté enmarcada la oración puede establecerse una referencia temporal posterior a la de haber hecho el doctorado:Desconozco si el señor R. M. hizo el doctorado en I.Desconozco si el señor R. M. había hecho el doctorado en I. (mucho antes de su muerte/antes de los cuarenta años, etc.).Desconozco si el señor R. M. ya había hecho el doctorado en I.
