Estoy realizando un trabajo de investigación y necesito citar algunas instituciones y organismos con las abreviaturas correspondientes: Biblioteca Nacional de España; Biblioteca Municipal Conde Duque; Archivo General del Palacio Real de Madrid; Biblioteca Real de Madrid; Real Academia de San Fernando; Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid.

Respuesta: 

Los nombres de instituciones oficiales se abrevian normalmente mediante siglas, no abreviaturas, es decir representando cada término del nombre (excepto artículos y preposiciones) por su letra inicial en mayúscula, sin puntos intermedios. Así: BNE (Biblioteca Nacional de España); RABASF (Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando); RCSMM (Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid); etcétera.
