Especial como nombre no como adverbio, ¿es masculino o femenino?

Respuesta: 

Especial en ningún caso es nombre. Casi siempre es adjetivo, aunque en algunos lugares puede ser ser empleado también como adverbio. Como adjetivo, es invariable en género y con cuerda en número con el sustantivo al que determina: una persona especial, un individuo especial, personas especiales, individuos especiales. Como adverbio, es invariable.
