La palabra no es resilencia sino resiliencia. Es vocablo procedente de la Física cuyo uso se ha extendido a la Antropología y a la Psicología. En Física se refiere a la capacidad de los materiales de recuperar su forma anterior después de haber sido deformados. En Psicología y en , alude a la capacidad de recuperación de los seres humanos después de haber sufrido situaciones fuertemente traumáticas.
