¿Se puede poner coma antes de y? Por ejemplo: «Encontraron en su camino un profundo pozo repleto de agua, y al verlo, dijo una rana a la otra: ...». ¿O en este caso hay que poner la coma después de la y?

Respuesta: 

En la oración presentada nos encontramos ante una oración compuesta y en la segunda suboración podemos comprobar el cambio de sujeto.[Ellos] Encontraron en su camino un profundo pozo de agua.Una rana le dijo a la otra al verlo: ...En el caso de cambio de sujeto, se aconseja poner coma antes de la conjunción copulativa.
