¿Cuándo se usa y cuándo no se usa la preposición "con" en el caso del verbo "cumplir"? De antemano, muchísimas gracias.

Respuesta: 

El verbo cumplir se emplea como transitivo (sin la preposición) o como intransitivo (con ella) cuando se refiere a 'ejecutar o llevar a efecto una obligación, un deber, un compromiso, una promesa...', de esta manera se podrá decir: Luis cumplió el trabajo encomendado ejemplarmente (cumplir: verbo transitivo; el trabajo encomendado: complemento directo) o Luis cumplió con el trabajo ecomendado ejemplarmente (cumplir: verbo intransitivo; con el trabajo encomendado: complemento preposicional). Se usará como intransitivo siempre, por lo tanto, con preposición, si se trata de responderle con una obligación, un deber, un compromiso, una promesa... a una persona: Luis cumplió con los contratistas; Se distinguía por sus cualidades humanas, cumplía con sus semejantes olvidándose de sí mismo.
