¿Cuál es la diferencia entre inalterable e inalterado?

Respuesta: 

El sufijo -ble «indica posibilidad pasiva, es decir, capacidad o aptitud para recibir la acción del verbo. Si el verbo es de la primera conjugación, el sufijo toma la forma -able» (DRAE). Inalterable significa, pues, que no puede ser alterado. La terminación -ado, en cambio, es una desinencia verbal que se usa en el participio pasivo. Inalterado significa, pues, que no ha sido alterado.
