¿Es correcto decir: «mezclar una sustancia conteniendo azufre con otra»? ¿O se debe decir: «mezclar una sustancia que contenga/contiene azufre con...»?

Respuesta: 

El gerundio no debe tener valor especificativo. Corresponde reemplazarlo por una subordinada adjetiva. Por tanto, la forma adecuada es su segunda opción: «sustancia que contenga/contiene».
