Toda la vida he usado el verbo CANDIDATIZAR (Pedro se va a candidatizar a la alcaldía; X y Y están candidatizados a ser los sucesores de M; vamos a candidatizar a Madrid como sede de los Olímpicos, etc.).Sin embargo, según la RAE en su versión on line esa palabra no existe, pero sí CANDIDATEAR.Quisiera saber si es correcto CANDIDATIZAR, si es que ha caído en desuso (soy colombiana y allá todo el mundo la usa, los medios, etc, etc), o qué es lo que pasa.Patricia

Respuesta: 

El hecho de que una palabra no aparezca en el DRAE no significa que no exista. El verbo candidatizar es de menor frecuencia de uso que candidatear o candidatar, pero su empleo será apropiado en aquellos países donde se use.
