El participio es "cierto", ¿cuál sería el verbo al que esta palabra corresponde y su conjugación?

Respuesta: 

«Cierto», del latín certus, funciona como adjetivo (>i>Tiene cierta tendencia a llegar en el último momento en ocasiones que requerirían más puntualidad; Hay ciertos indicios de que el ladrón entró por el patio) o como adverbio de modo con el valor de 'ciertamente' (Es cierto lo que dice, salió más temprano que de costumbre). No es un participio, sino por el contrario, de certus y el verbo latino facere (hacer) se derivó certificare 'certificar' .
