Soy venezolana y, en mi caso, no sé que sería más apropiado en vez de cómic o cómics, llamarlo historieta, tira cómica, comiquita, story board.

Respuesta: 

Cómic' y su plural 'cómics' son palabras asentadas en la lengua española, aunque no se usen en todo el ámbito hispanohablante. Son, por tanto, adecuadas en aquellas zonas donde se empleen, aunque en otras, se preferirán los términos que sean en ellas más habituales: viñetas, historietas, tiras cómicas, comiquitas, monitos, dibujos animados, muñequitos, tebeo, según corresponda.
