Me gustaría saber si la palabra "don" debe escribirse empezando con mayúscula cuando forma parte del nombre de un pueblo o ciudad, como Valencia de don Juan, Puebla de don Francisco, Puebla de don Fadrique, Villa de don Fadrique, etc. El diccionario de la rae y el panhispánico de dudas no me aclaran la respuesta y no ofrecen ejemplos acerca de esta cuestión, pues sólo mencionan casos obvios como La Habana o Las Palmas. Gracias.

Respuesta: 

Dice Martínez de Sousa en el _Diccionario de Uso de las Mayúsculas y Minúsculas_, que "don" se usa con mayúscula cuando aparece en un topónimo:Valencia de Don Juan, Villa de Don Fadrique.
