Estimados: supongo que esta palabra es de género femenino, pero observo usos que me hacen dudar. Por ej.: "un alerta meterelogico/a". Supongo que la respuesta es similar al dado con la palabra "hambre". Si esto es asi, la duda se traslada al género de "metereológico/a". ¿Conserva el género del artículo?Saludos cordiales

Hola:La respuesta a su consulta se encuentra muy bien ilustrada en el Diccionario panhispánico de dudas http://buscon.rae.es/dpdI/ De acuerdo con lo que allí se anota, la palabra 'alerta' cuando se usa como sustantivo, pueden tomar ambos géneros. Esto significa que la expresión de su consulta puede escribirse de dos formas: «un alerta meteorológico», «una alerta meteorológica». 'Alerta' no corresponde al caso de la palabra 'hambre', porque en 'alerta' la primera sílaba -a- no es tónica. Saludos,El equipo de consultas
