El 1 de junio de 2014 se incorpora Susana Guerrero al Consejo Asesor Honorífico de Idioma y Deporte para reforzar la sección "Mujeres para el deporte". Es profesora de la Universidad de Málaga, presidenta de la Asociación de Estudios Históricos sobre la Mujer de la Universidad de Málaga y vicepresidenta de la Fundación Alonso Quijano, especializada en el fomento de la lectura.En sus trabajos sobre lenguaje deportivo, ha comentado usos del lenguaje periodístico, neologismos, impropiedades léxicas, redundancias y mecanismos de creatividad en los libros Medios de comunicación y español actual, Voces comentadas del español actual y La creatividad en el lenguaje periodístico. Además, ha organizado en 2010 el IV Seminario de Lengua Española y Medios de Comunicación: el Discurso Deportivo y participó, en 2012, en el VII Seminario Internacional Lengua y Periodismo.
