¿Es correcto decir "Quiero aperturar una cuenta en el banco"?

Respuesta: 

Lo correcto es "abrir una cuenta". De abrir se deriva el sustantivo apertura, pero no tiene sentido convertir ese sustantivo en otro verbo del mismo significado que "abrir". Se trata del vicio de estirar el significado de las palabras con la ilusión de que suenen más importantes; del verbo "aperturar" podría derivarse el sustantivo "aperturización" y luego el verbo "aperturacionalizar ", lo que sería absurdo. Sólo existe "abrir".
