Deseo saber en qué casos se usa la palabra más con tilde y en cuáles sin tilde.

Respuesta: 

Más lleva tilde cuando es adverbio (Es más alto que su hermano) o sustantivo (El más es el signo que expresa adición).Mas no lleva tilde cuando es conjunción adversativa y equivale a pero (Vino, mas no lo vi).
