Quisiera saber qué clase de palabra es poesía, si es aguda o llana y por qué lleva tilde.

Respuesta: 

La palabra es grave o llana. Lleva tilde en la i para señalar el hiato, o sea, la pronunciación de la secuencia ia en sílabas diferentes: po-e-sí-a.
