Hola:La palabra «azufre» no tiene prefijo, aunque su forma originaria y medieval fue SUFRE , que viene del lat. "súlphure(m)", del mismo significado . Por tanto , lo curioso es que posteriormente se ha añadido una A- inicial , cuyo origen no está muy clarificado, al decir al menos de Corominas.Saludos,El equipo de consultas
