He oído recientemente que la palabra "mínimamente" no existe y no debería utilizarse. Yo entiendo que esta palabra podría originarse de convertir el adjetivo mínimo a un adverbio mediante la adición del sufijo "mente" ¿Es realmente incorrecta esta palabra?

Respuesta: 

La palabra mínimamente no está registrada en los diccionarios. Sin embargo, como usted indica es un adverbio bien formado en castellano (mínimo + 'mente') que tiene alto número de registros en los Corpus.Como ejemplo de su uso, citamos España inteligible. Razón histórica de las Españas , de Julián Marías: «Ninguna región quiere separarse del resto de España, ningún partido mínimamente responsable lo propone». Significa: 'con al menos un poco', 'con una pizca', 'apenas', 'con lo mínimo', dependiendo del caso:cirugía mínimamente invasiva: apenas invasiva;un programa lleno de promesas que cualquier partido mínimamente responsable no puede asumir: un partido con una pizca de responsabilidad;la demanda de vegetales mínimamente procesados: apenas, poco procesados.
