Me ha entrado la duda de cómo escribir la razas de estos perros. Entiendo que si digo «un perro de Labrador» o «una perra de San Bernardo», uso esas mayúsculas pues la palabras hacen referencia a los topónimos de origen; pero es muy popular decir: «un perro labrador» y simplemente «este labrador» o «un labradorcito de un mes», así como «las sambernardo ya parieron» y «no te traigas a tu san bernardo». En estos casos, ¿es lo correcto ponerlos en minúscula y ojalá unir las palabras de los topónimos para usarlas como genéricos?

Respuesta: 

Las razas de los perros constituyen adjetivos o sustantivos comunes y se escriben, por consiguiente, en minúscula. El sustantivo o adjetivo relativo al perro de San Bernardo es sambernardo. Ejemplo: En la hacienda, hay cinco perros: dos labradores, un sambernardo y dos pastores alemanes.
