Quiero saber la significación de las dos palabras y cómo utilizarlas hablando. ¿Pez significa que está vivo? ¿Pescado significa que está muerto para comer?

Respuesta: 

En términos generales, se entiende por pez el animal vivo y por pescado el 'pez comestible sacado del agua por cualquiera de los procedimientos de pesca'. Note que el sentido de la definición anterior, un pescado es un pez muerto, porque no vive. Pero un pez muerto no es necesariamente un pescado; si su muerte se produjo de manera natural, no lo es. Gramaticalmente pescado se forma a partir del participio del vebo pescar.
