No, se considera y es intransitivo. El verbo «parecer», por ejemplo, se considera pseudocopulativo en algunas ocasiones: «Hoy María parece radiante»; note la semejanza con «Hoy María está radiante». En este caso, parecer radiante es considerado pseudocopulativo porque se comporta como si fuera copulativo, y «radiante» se comporta como un atributo. En el caso de «carecer», vea usted si se le ocurre algún ejemplo en el que el complemento preposicional se comporte como un atributo.
