Desde 2011 existen dos nuevas provincias en Cuba: Artemisa y Mayabeque. Sobre el gentilicio de Artemisa no hay dudas: artemiseño/a. Sin embargo, no se ponen de acuerdo sobre el modo de llamar a los naturales de Mayabeque; algunos dicen mayabequense y otros mayabequino/a. ¿Cuál sería la variante más correcta?

Respuesta: 

No hay variantes correctas o incorrectas. Los gentilicios se acuñan de acuerdo con las preferencias de los habitantes de cada lugar. Ambos sufijos son habituales en la formación de gentilicios.
