Cuando se produce un incendio, los medios de comunicación (casi todos en España) al comentar la noticia emplean expresiones del tipo: «En la extinción se han empleado cuatro medios aéreos y cinco medios terrestres». ¿Es correcta esta expresión? En mi opinión lo lógico sería referirse a número de vehículos, no a número de medios. ¿Qué les parece?

Respuesta: 

En la noticia referida, se ha acortado la expresión medios de transporte. Pero como usted anota muy acertadamente, de no escribir la expresión completa, resulta más adecuado y de mayor precisión el término vehículos.
