En determinados países de habla hispana oímos pronunciar mayoritariamente laparoscopía. ¿Es correcto?Si el aparato usado para realizar ese tipo de intervención quirúrgica se llama endoscopio, ¿cuál es la razón de esa acentuación?

Respuesta: 

Según las academias de la lengua, el elemento compositivo sufijo -scopia también puede asumir la grafía con hiato -scopía. Esta última proviene de la pronunciación etimológica griega y es más frecuente en América. La forma con diptongo deriva de la pronunciación latina y se observa más en España.
