Me gustaría saber cuándo usar la palabra gravidez, por cuanto tenía confusión en su significado debido a que la asociaba al contexto de una persona grave. Ahora bien, ¿en qué situaciones concretas puedo hacer uso de este término, y emplearlo como sinónimo de embarazo?

Respuesta: 

Gravidez es cualidad de grávido y también embarazo de la mujer. Grávido es, entonces, lo que tiene peso y, dicho de una mujer, estado de embarazo.En femenino, embarazada.> Ejemplos de gravidez/grávido-a 'embarazo':El médico atendió a esa mujer grávida.La muchacha estaba en avanzado estado de gravidez.Mostraba orgullosa su vientre grávido. Grávido 'que tiene peso' se usa, en general, poéticamente: «Ya no hay omnipotencia: sólo el amor, el simple amor, siempre queda él pese a todo, grávido y frágil, vivo, suscitante de penúltimas emociones, de siempre penúltimas emociones» (Arnoldo Liberman, Gustav Mahler o el corazónabrumado).
